How do I connect my Strava account?

Open the RideIQ app and follow the prompts to connect your Strava account. You’ll be redirected to Strava to authorize access. Once connected, your rides will sync automatically.

When will my rides appear in RideIQ?

Most rides sync shortly after they are uploaded to Strava. If you don’t see a ride, try refreshing in the app or check your Strava connection.

What data does RideIQ use?

RideIQ uses raw data from Strava, such as distance, speed, power, and heart rate, to generate insights and performance scores.

Why doesn’t RideIQ require FTP, max heart rate, VO2 max, or lactate threshold?

RideIQ is designed to simplify cycling analytics, not add more complexity. Many training platforms require manual inputs like FTP, maximum heart rate, VO2 max, or lactate threshold to estimate performance. These values can change over time and are often difficult to measure accurately without formal testing. Instead, RideIQ analyzes your actual ride data—such as power, heart rate, speed, and effort patterns—to generate a performance score and insights automatically.
This approach means:
*No setup or calibration is required.
*Your insights adapt naturally as your fitness changes.
*You get consistent feedback without needing lab-tested metrics.
RideIQ focuses on making performance insights accessible and easy to understand, so you can be assured that after each ride you will be presented with information to reflect exactly what happened on the road.

Why is my ride score different from other apps?

RideIQ uses its own scoring system designed to simplify performance insights. It considers factors like effort, efficiency, and ride context to give you a clear, consistent score for every ride. Each person will receive a score on how well they did agaisnt themselves and not compared with anybody else.

How do I delete my data?

Your data is stored on your phone and your iCloud account. We have enabled iCloud data deletion withinin the app, in Profile Summary. When you delete the app, all related data on your phone will be removed. Data on your Strava account is untouched.
